SPUS on the NILE
2026 - EGYPT
5-9 December

Welcome to Egypt!
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure and privilege to welcome you all to Egypt for this special SPUS meeting.
For both of us, this gathering is particularly meaningful, as Egypt is the country where we were born and where our roots remain. We are excited to have the opportunity to welcome our friends and colleagues to our homeland and to share with you a little of its extraordinary heritage, rich culture, and ancient civilization—a history that spans thousands of years and continues to inspire the world today.
Our hope is to make this meeting much more than a scientific gathering. Of course, we look forward to stimulating discussions, the exchange of knowledge, and the advancement of our specialty. But just as importantly, we hope to create wonderful opportunities to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the warmth, hospitality, and unique spirit of Egypt.
What makes this meeting especially different is that we have opened our doors not only to members of our society, but also to their families and friends. We hope this will make our time together a truly memorable experience for everyone.
Shahira and I are delighted to share this journey with you. We hope you will leave Egypt with new knowledge, lasting friendships, wonderful memories, and perhaps a little of Egypt's magic in your hearts.
Welcome to our homeland.
With warmest regards and friendship,
Tony and Shahira Khoury
